I have been married to my best friend Blake since 2015 and in 2020 we welcomed our first baby boy, Nash. Our son has completely melted our hearts and changed our lives for the better. You can find me almost daily on Socials sharing mine and Blake’s life adventure chasing around our fur baby Oliver, or our favorite little person, Nash. I value being present as a wife to my husband and mother to my son, which is why I slow down, pay attention to the details, and connect with the friends and family I love. My appreciation for being in the moment helps me be a better photographer and friend for my clients.
Having owned my business for several years, I could tell that something was missing in my daytime work hours -- my passion for people! Feeling a step removed was like missing a link. Taking on AKP full time means I can spend more of my heart with my family and dedicate time for clients.
Time is so precious! We never know what tomorrow holds or what is in our future.
I think it is important to capture your life exactly as it looks right now; even if you aren’t “ready” for photos each season of our lives is valuable and deserves to be documented.
Nash is at that age where everything is interesting and exciting, and it brings us so much joy watching him discover new things. It is the greatest feeling to witness as he grows through each experience.
Exploring local cuisine and traveling to new places is certainly a favorite on our list. On nice days we try to be outdoors as much as possible; yes, even in Houston heat. Check my reaction on an IG reel, you'll know what I mean.
Catching up with friends over a cup of coffee and sharing organic conversation brings my heart so much joy. Connecting is the one thing we all have in common. I love talking about anything and everything; I'm an open book.
Watching my husband, Blake, play guitar and seeing Nash right there fumbling along with the strings gives me a non-stop smile.
I love our impromptu dances, and I love the random kisses we share.
Being a mom and a business owner can take a lot of out me, but my friends are what brings me back to feeling like me. I also value time thrifting, driving around, and listening to my favorite jams.
My quarterly newsletter is like catching up with an old friend.
Haven't talked for a while, but feels like you picked up where you left off.
